Conservation of arid mangrove ecosystems in Baja California Sur, Mexico
Amazing facts about mangrove trees:
Their Relationship with Microorganisms
| An important role of microorganisms (bacteria and fungi) within the ecosystem is to recycle nutrients, many of which sustain mangrove trees. These microorganisms fix atmospheric nitrogen, solubilize phosphates, degrade dead leaves and transform numerous compounds for the benefit of the trees. |
