Amazing facts about mangrove trees:
Mangroves are vivipary
Mangroves are vivipary. What does this mean?

"Vivipary" means that the seed germinates while still attached to the parent plant, producing what is called scientifically "propagules". The propagule is a small, complete, folded plant. When the propagule matures, it falls into the water. It floats easily and is carried away by the sea currents. When the propagule reaches land, it immediately produce roots and within weeks a small seedling develops.
